Who writes this stuff?
On Facebook and in e-mails we are inundated with those illustrated posts that originated with posters, post-cards, greeting cards, and other things – often with poignant, pithy, or pertinent quotations on them.
I love those things!
But – who writes this stuff? Often the quotations are from books, the bible, or other famous people, but sometimes the author is ‘unknown’. Is he related to A. Nonymous?
Maybe there’s a niche here. Could someone become known as an author of one-liners? Like a stand-up comic?
It would be really cool to see your words plastered all over the internet, beautifully illustrated ( with credits, of course). Cooler still, if people would comment, “I just love Gayle’s observations!”
Magazines, newspapers and other periodicals, have small articles full of trivia that are used as spacers…for when the features leave and inch or two that needs to be filled. And a few years ago at our writers’ conference, one of the speakers talked about short – 200-300 word - articles for the internet that people buy to drive traffic to their sites.
You know, SOMEBODY writes those things.
Now, I’m a lazy person. But those of us with trivial minds ought to be checking this out. Something to do in retirement?
Just a thought….
Anybody out there already doing anything like this? Drop me a line!
You’re right. Somebody writes that stuff. And plenty of Facebookers grabbing it.:)
Great idea – and an open market for someone to claim the cleverness!!!
Great idea. We — you and I and I writing buddies — should be all over that. I think you’d be good because you’re full of clever observations.
Aw, shucks! Retirement plans!
