You wrote of fog on ‘little cat feet’
with a different breed in mind.
The three young cats that stay with me
have feet of a larger kind.
At night my house is full of noise
as they rumble room to room.
Their pounding paws can cause a quake
that’s at least an 8.2.
I always know when they’re awake.
They thunder down the halls
as they chase ghosts and mice,
and things that live between the walls.
Oh, Carl,
would you please trade a while?
I’ll gladly take a cat
that creeps and sneaks across the room
while I get in a nap!

Very cute! I love my cats, but they are not the quiet and docile type.
So true! Cats (and dogs) can be so loud. Cute poem. Hope to see you tomorrow:))
Awesome poem! I can see the cats “thunder down the halls as they chase ghost and mice.”
I enjoyed this.
